Facility Maintenance Director

Director Of Maintenance and Housekeeping Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facility Maintenance Director to join our team at the Promenade at Chestnut Ridge, a family-owned and operated independent and assisted living community in Chestnut Ridge, New York. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and overall well-being of our residents, staff, and visitors by maintaining the facility's physical plant, equipment, and grounds. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs Direct housekeeping and laundry services Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers with corporate approval Conduct routine inspections to identify and correct safety hazards Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and compliance documentation Assist with emergency preparedness activities and facility drills Ensure building and grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained Participate in Department of Health surveys and inspections Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience; healthcare or assisted living experience preferred Knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance practices Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform maintenance duties throughout the facility Availability to respond to maintenance emergencies as needed Reports To: Executive Director / Administrator Benefits: Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off 401K employer matched Flexible schedule Free Lunch Why Work with Us: At the Promenade at Chestnut Ridge, we pride ourselves on being a family-owned and operated community that offers a warm and welcoming environment for our residents.
