Programmable Logic Controller ProgrammerReport To: VP of EngineeringMission Statement: To be a family that demonstrates extraordinary passion, hard work, and integrity with steadfast loyalty and support for those we serve: our employees, our communities, and our customers.Position Summary: This full-time position will be responsible for programming and trouble-shooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) for all Therma-Tron-X, Inc. systems.General ResponsibilitiesProgrammers will be required to create custom ladder –logic, custom screens, and custom script functions to control material handling systems, oven equipment, hydraulic equipment, waste treatment systems, and any other custom industrial controls that have been designed and incorporated into our systems.Programmers will be responsible for researching and developing new technologies as they apply to the control and monitoring of our systems.Programmers will be expected to follow each application through to its conclusion which includes all aspects of programming the equipment, writing the technical manual, traveling to customer sites to install and debug, and train personnel on site.RequirementsAssociates degree in a technical field related to machine control preferred or equivalent experienceStrong understanding of PLC, computer, and networking architectureWorking knowledge of relational databasesFamiliarity with Digital, Analog, and PID controlsAbility to read electrical schematicsFamiliarity with proper wiring, safety, and control standardsCapability to assist with wiring and testing of control circuitsRecent experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC's preferredAbility to travel approximately 20% both in the continental US and internationally
