Job Description
Title: Physical Therapist I

Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; Weekend rotation (1 per month)

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 143 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- License: Physical Therapist [REQUIRED]
- Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support (within 1 month of hire or transfer [HIGHLY PREFERRED])
- Education: Bachelor's Degree [REQUIRED]

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient functions by performing formal/informal testing measures to determine skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status.
- Develop a specific treatment regime based on assessment data and patient tolerance, and submit a written treatment regime as part of the authorized plan.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding conditions, alternatives, prognosis, and treatment rationales.
- Provide supervision for Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides according to regulatory standards.
- Maintain documentation of patient progress and treatment response in compliance with policies and regulatory agencies.
- Participate in team conferences and interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate, promoting process improvement and patient care.

Compliance / Notes:
- Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training is required annually per the Exposure Control Plan.
- Employees are required to maintain confidentiality of patient and facility information in accordance with policies and procedures.
