Sr. Analytics Engineer

Senior Analytics Engineer Los Angeles, CA Full-Time Hybrid Contract to hire No 3rd parties, sponsorship, or C2C We're looking for a hands‑on analytics engineer who can own the full BI lifecycle - from pipeline development to executive‑ready dashboards. You'll work closely with business users to translate requirements into trusted, governed, and scalable data solutions across a modern Microsoft-centric stack. What you'll do Design and deliver interactive Power BI dashboards, datasets, reports, and paginated outputs using Power BI Report Builder and DAX Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS, Alteryx, and Microsoft Fabric Design, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures Develop and support Alteryx workflows and analytic applications, including Alteryx Server administration Apply data governance, lineage, sensitivity labeling, and compliance standards via Microsoft Purview Ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA and other applicable regulations) across all data utilization Provide daily production support for Power BI, Alteryx, and related BI solutions Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT partners to turn requirements into actionable insights Participate in design and peer reviews and stay current on BI trends and best practices What we're looking for 7+ years of hands‑on experience as a SQL Developer or Data Analyst Strong experience with MS Fabric, including Lakehouse/Warehouse modeling and pipeline development Advanced Power BI skills - data modeling, DAX, report optimization, and paginated reports Strong Alteryx experience including workflow development, optimization, and server administration Proficiency maintaining and supporting SSIS packages Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data governance, and compliance best practices Advanced Excel skills for trend analysis and data validation Clear communicator comfortable with both technical and non-technical audiences Experience in regulated industries (insurance, healthcare, or financial services) a plus Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field Local candidates only.
