LCSW Behavioral Health

Job Summary:

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides comprehensive behavioral health services within a locked unit, focusing on both voluntary and involuntary admissions. The role involves conducting assessments, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, ongoing interventions, and discharge planning. High attention to safety and adherence to contraband protocols are critical due to the patient population's risk factors. The LCSW collaborates closely with care management social workers to ensure coordinated care and effective discharge processes. Responsibilities:

• Conduct behavioral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual counseling and facilitate group therapy sessions within the milieu setting.
• Implement ongoing treatment interventions tailored to patient needs.
• Coordinate and participate in discharge planning and care coordination activities.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and contraband policies on the locked unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and recovery.
• Document all clinical activities accurately using the EPIC charting system.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license.
• Experience providing behavioral health services in an inpatient or locked unit setting.
• Strong knowledge of safety precautions and contraband protocols in behavioral health environments.
• Proficiency in individual and group therapy techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with discharge planning and care coordination processes.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:40 PM.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working with patients admitted for suicidal ideation or other high-risk behavioral health conditions.
• Knowledge of EPIC electronic health record system.
• Background in short-term acute care behavioral health services.

Special Considerations:

• Work is performed on a locked behavioral health unit with both voluntary and involuntary admissions.
• High vigilance required for patient safety and compliance with contraband protocols.
• Role includes participation in a group milieu treatment environment.
• Strict adherence to behavioral health safety standards is mandatory.

Scheduling:

• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:40 PM.
• Day shift with no weekend or on-call requirements stated.
