Immigration Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Immigration Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience for its Detroit, MI office. The ideal candidate will have a background in employment-based immigration, including H-1Bs, PERMs, I-140s, AOS, L-1s, and TNs, and a willingness to handle various immigration matters. Duties Serve as the primary legal and strategic point of contact for assigned corporate clients. Communicate case strategies, timelines, and government requirements. Participate in client meetings, presentations, and immigration program reviews. Review employment-based immigration petitions and applications prepared by paralegals. Draft legal support letters and responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs). Lead regular client status calls, planning discussions, and escalations. Requirements 3-5 years of experience in immigration law. Experience advising clients directly on immigration matters. Ability to assist clients with the preparation of petitions and applications for USCIS. Strong advocacy, research, and writing skills. High-level attention to detail and strong academic credentials. Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Bar admission in any U.S. jurisdiction. Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in legal research and writing. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
