Working Supervisor

Company Overview United Commercial Services (UCS) is a Grand Rapids-based janitorial service contractor and has been part of the West Michigan community for two decades. UCS cleans over 12 million square feet each night, employs and manages over 200 people, and specializes in large facilities. Position Overview We are currently seeking a Supervisor to add to our team. The qualified candidate will have previous supervisory experience in a cleaning, retail, or hospitality environment. The Supervisor is responsible for making sure that our employees are cleaning and maintaining the assigned property and to ensure that it meets United Commercial Services standards. Essential Functions Responsible for assessing the quality of work performed by UCS employees. Perform individual janitorial tasks daily, including detailed cleaning of supervisor's own assigned areas. Provide training to new hires. Provide clear communication to UCS employees regarding issues, company updates and/or questions. Work with Managers to provide updates, requests, concerns regarding specific job sites. Make sure job site is being cleaned in conjunction with UCS standards. Ensure that each employee has proper equipment at the beginning of each shift. Ensure that each employee has taken care of all equipment and chemicals at the end of each shift. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Prior supervisory experience and/or extensive commercial cleaning experience required. Legally permitted to work in the US. Must be 18 years of age. Must pass a criminal background check. Must have reliable transportation. Effective communication skills. Ability to handle basic maintenance, repairs, or other cleaning duties. Effective time management skills. Schedule Sunday-Thursday- 7pm-3am w/ 1 Friday Per Month Rotation You will be cleaning 50% of the time. You will be changing liners, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning restrooms, wiping surfaces and dusting in addition to Doing a nightly building check. #J-18808-Ljbffr United Commercial Services, Inc.
