Position Summary: Respiratory Therapist – Acute Care, Level 1 Trauma

• Position: Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT)
• Care Setting: Acute Care – Level 1 Trauma Center
• Shift Length: 12 hours (Days: 7:00 – 19:00)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Minimum Experience: 1 year (with recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required )
• Charting System: EPIC

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA) – required
• BLS (AHA) – required
• CRT (NBRC) – required (RRT preferred)

Preferred Certifications

• NRP
• PALS

Clinical Responsibilities & Unit Expectations

• Patient Population: Neonates through geriatrics
• Coverage Areas: All inpatient floors and units
• Required Clinical Skills:
  • EKGs
  • Bedside bronchoscopy assistance
  • Bedside spirometry

Respiratory Equipment Used

• Ventilators : Drager, Servo I, Carefusion (Heliox and NICU only)
• BiPaps: Vision, V60, V30, Respironics S/T
• High Flow: Airvo2
