Seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team working with individuals diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or General Mental Health diagnosis under Court Ordered Treatment at our Mitchell Recovery Health Center. Full-Time Employment: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm Location: 40 E. SMI DIFFERENTIAL As a Peer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating various group and individual activities that support and strengthen the member and the families assisting them in their recovery. If you are dependable, caring and compassionate and find motivation in helping our members live better lives by sharing your own experiences, Use your own life experience to encourage and assist both clients and their families throughout the treatment process. Conduct assessments, service planning, and service delivery while maintaining focus on recovery and resiliency. Create and conduct a variety of group activities for family and clients alike. Promote community integration, independence, and self-sufficiency. Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of member engagements. Peer Support Specialist Employment Training and Arizona State Peer Certification. Self-Identify as a Behavioral Health Care recipient in recovery for at least 1-3 years and/or first-hand experience with family members with serious mental illness and/or chronic disease. Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook. Must be able to pass typing assessment with minimum 25wpm. Knowledge in use of Electronic Health Records - NextGen is a plus. Bilingual in Spanish/ASL is desired. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have valid Arizona driver's license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health's driving policy. Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role. Must pass a TB Test.
