Manager - Laboratory

Exempt position. This position is responsible and accountable for department operations including fiscal management of operations, quality and service, environment of care and safety, and human resource management. The manager supports and promotes laboratory practices consistent with the organizations vision, mission, goals and values. The manager is responsible to coordinate day to day department operations and manage key process flows within the department. Facilitates process improvement when necessary and contribute to an environment of high performance expectations, mutual trust and superior service.This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship/we will not sponsor or transfer a visa for this role. Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology, Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science, Cytology, Histology, or health/health sciences related field with completion of a clinical laboratory internship. Five years of experience actively working in a clinical laboratory. Additional Qualifications:Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Excellent working knowledge of laboratory regulatory standards. Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices. Ability to be effective in a diverse work group. Must be able to demonstrate leadership and project management skills. Willingness to work at other sites and travel as required.One to three years management/supervisory experience in a laboratory preferred. Preferred: Working knowledge of laboratory information and reporting systems, excellent working knowledge of laboratory regulatory standards, knowledge of CLIA standards, experience with operational and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments and assays.
