Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 3 years of OR experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: References required from recent employment Description: Must have references to submit. Cannot accept Charge RN references. Experience in the operating room is required. Weekend requirements include two weekends in-house OR. On-call requirements involve being available for two weekends within six weeks. Candidate must have an active license at the time of submission. No scheduling requests can be accommodated. Request time off should not exceed 10 days. Must work three out of five holidays. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The unit handles a daily census of approximately 35 patients. The unit contains 12 rooms. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams and unit secretaries. Special procedures performed on this unit include ortho, neuro, spine, plastics, burns, and general surgeries. Familiarity with various surgical procedures is essential. Surgical skills required include abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, appendectomy, arthroscopy, and total joint replacement, among others. The position requires flexibility in scheduling and duties. All applicants will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis regarding background checks. Strong adherence to compliance and safety protocols is mandatory. Modules are required to be completed pre-start and annually.
