Role Description The Nursing Home Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Miller, SD, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a long-term care facility. This role manages staffing, resident services, regulatory compliance, and quality standards to ensure safe, compassionate elder care. Day-to-day tasks include supervising clinical and non-clinical teams, coordinating resident admissions and discharges, monitoring budgets and financial performance, and maintaining policies and procedures that meet state and federal regulations. The Administrator collaborates with healthcare providers, families, and community partners, handles resident and staff concerns, supports training and development programs, and drives continuous improvement in care delivery and facility operations. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Nursing Home Administration and Long-term Care operations. Experience providing and overseeing Elder Care with a focus on dignity, safety, and quality of life. Proficiency in Budgeting, financial oversight, and resource management within a healthcare setting. Ability to design and deliver Training for staff on clinical, regulatory, and service standards. Relevant state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of long-term care regulations, compliance requirements, and quality assurance processes.
