Center Hours Monday: Closed Tuesday–Thursday: 6 AM – 7 PM Friday: 6 AM – 6 PM Saturday–Sunday: 7 AM – 3 PM About BioLife Plasma Services BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. About the role You will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. You will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry and will follow guidance from BioLife Medical Affairs, providing center‑level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS). How you will contribute Determine donor eligibility; manage informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs. Follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician standing orders and donor transport. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance concerning medical/technical issues, donor safety and eligibility. Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance on incidents. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats. What you bring to Takeda High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment (e.g., EMT‑Paramedic). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Biological Compensation And Benefits Summary U.S. hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44.
