Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long-Term Care (LTC)

Location: Eureka, Kansas
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Variable Nights
Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality nursing care in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of LTC facility experience and be comfortable working 12-hour night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care environment.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established care plans.
• Monitor residents' health status and report changes to the appropriate healthcare providers.
• Assist with assessments, care planning, and implementation of individualized care plans.
• Perform routine nursing procedures within the scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and facility policies.
• Respond appropriately to changes in residents' conditions and clinical needs.
• Collaborate with CNAs, RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide quality resident care.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility .
• LPN Diploma required.
• Active Kansas LPN license or valid multistate license .
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• IV Certification preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced long-term care environment.
