Summary: As an Auditor at BWT Logistics, you will play a vital role in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring integrity by examining and evaluating our processes, inventory controls, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail and a strong understanding of logistics operations. Key Responsibilities: Operational & Process Audits Conduct audits of warehouse and transportation processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Evaluate adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all operational activities, from receiving to shipping. Review freight billing and carrier invoices for accuracy and compliance with contractual terms. Inventory Audits Lead and oversee inventory audit procedures, including cycle counts and full physical inventories. Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Ensure the integrity of inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Compliance & Safety Audits Assess compliance with internal controls, company policies, and external regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, DOT). Review shipping and receiving documentation for accuracy and completeness. Conduct safety audits to promote a safe working environment for all team members. Analysis & Reporting Document audit findings in clear, concise, and objective reports for management. Provide data-driven recommendations to mitigate risks, reduce costs, and improve performance. Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure effective resolution. Partner with warehouse team members to support order fulfillment, meet deadlines, and maintain operational flow. Assist with general warehouse duties and additional tasks as assigned by management.
