Associate Medical Director – Staten Island University Hospital, Prince’s Bay Campus

The Associate Medical Director will provide leadership for the SIUH Prince’s Bay campus, ensuring that the hospital meets clinical quality and safety standards. They will establish and monitor utilization goals, lead clinical quality improvement and patient safety activities, assist in performance improvement and quality assurance studies, coordinate activities under the Chief Medical Officer, and help develop goals aligned with SIUH’s strategy and policies.

Requirements and Ideal Experience

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school and appropriate board certification in the respective medical or surgical specialty.
• Experienced leader who can clearly and comfortably communicate and collaborate with all levels of key stakeholders in and out of the SIUH campus.
• Understanding of hospital-based care processes and procedures.
• Advanced interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of their clinical specialty and adherence to professional ethics and clinical competency standards.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Medical & Healthcare Administration.
• Advanced degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred but not required.
