Appliance Repair TechnicianWe have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated, customer-oriented person with excellent communication skills. We are seeking an Appliance Repair Technician to represent our brand at customer locations while diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing our domestic premium appliances.Your ResponsibilitiesTravel to customer location to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair Miele equipment utilizing factory training, service manuals and computerized tools.Level and adjust equipment to include plumbing, gas and electrical connectionsInstall and instruct customers on the proper use of equipmentOrganization and upkeep of company provided vehicle (tools, test equipment, computers and other company items)Complete all service calls and warranty documentation in an accurate and timely mannerMaintain required parts inventory by ordering replacement parts as necessary and conducting inventories as requiredMaintain the delivery truck in safe and working orderWhat We're Looking For100% local daily travel requiredA valid driver's licenseHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical skillsGood computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to apply concepts of basic mathAbility to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos in EnglishAbility to multi-taskAbility to work professionally with colleagues and be a team playerAbility to manage difficult customer situationsMust be self-motivated, customer-oriented person with excellent communication skillsWorking ConditionsGenerally works in a customer's home but may be exposed to extremes in temperature, humidity or wetness when in transportationMay occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfacesMay have exposure to dust, gas, fumes or chemicalsOn occasion, may use special visual or auditory protective equipmentWill occasionally climb stairs and work off elevated surfacesFrequently work with bio-hazards for Commercial Technicians onlyPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, walk and crawl occasionallyAbility to stand, squat, kneel and dexterity to bend/twist neck and waist, frequentlyAbility to use hands repetitively and power/simple grasp constantlyAbility for fine manipulation of hands as well as pushing, pulling and reaching above and below shoulder level constantlyPhysical ability to lift, pull and push products up to 50 pounds frequentlyPhysical ability to lift, pull and push products that weigh in excess of 100+ pounds occasionallyAbility to carry items up to 6 feet occasionallyThe salary range for this position is $50,000 to $69,000 annually plus bonus. This range is a guideline and may not reflect your exact offer.
