Job Family Project & Program Management Summary Plans and manages activities of designated project(s) to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within a prescribed time frame and within funding parameters by performing any combination of all essential duties and responsibilities. This individual is the “conductor” of a given project(s) and is responsible for project’s success, removing roadblocks, and recovering from issues if they arise. Essential Functions Supports all business objectives of the company by aligning Program Management activities with the organizational goals and objectives. Represents the company with assigned customers. Maintains customer relationships and understands expectations. Manages and tracks open issues; drives them to closure through tracking, delegation, and escalation. Plans program activities and develops master timing schedules that meet program objectives. Leads the assigned program(s) activities for continuous future development, growth and improvement of the program, department and company. Ensures customer satisfaction feasibility and design specifications and keeps record of customer design. Travels to customer locations supporting product development for product reviews, testing, and change updates, including periodic travel to company manufacturing facilities (domestic and international). Develops program status reports and reports status to management. Coordinates technical reviews, including dry‑runs to ensure customer expectations are addressed. Maintains master program book and coordinates APQP activities. Monitors prototype and pre‑production builds for adherence to design intent, identifies issues and leads resolutions. Coordinates all product development activity between OEM customer and responsible departments within the company. Manages assigned program’s product launch phases, controls program timing requirements, program issues and commercial impact of design changes. Reviews and/or develops cost analyses and proposals aimed at cost reduction and improvement of the program’s sales operations. Participates in customer strategic discussions for issue resolution. Leads coordination of manufacturing, quality, and engineering “exceptions” and/or clarification lists. Ensures all customer requirements have been addressed and negotiates requirements with customer. Manages internal project approval and cost details, technical and commercial change logs. Supports project teams (engineer, quality, sales, etc.) and follows up on related projects. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Project/Program Management. Experience: 5–15 years of industry experience. Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project; high level of customer interface experience; ability to work independently with minimal direction; well organized and detail oriented. Supervisory Responsibilities May be required to supervise the duties of others to perform the job responsibilities as designated by area/department management to ensure project success and deliverables. Working Conditions Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time; may occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds; ability to work 40–60 hours per week. Travel: Domestic and international travel may be required as needed. Work Environment: Primarily in a professional business office with exposure to testing areas and periodic exposure to manufacturing areas.
