7D Driver Job Description and Requirements
Epoch Health Care LLC is hiring a reliable and professional 7D Driver to provide safe, courteous, and timely transportation for clients. The driver will transport passengers to and from appointments, programs, facilities, and other approved destinations while maintaining a high standard of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
Job Description
The 7D Driver will operate a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner while assisting passengers as needed. This position requires punctuality, patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with individuals who may need extra care or support during transportation.
Responsibilities

●        Safely transport passengers to and from scheduled destinations.

●        Follow assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions.

●        Assist passengers when entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.

●        Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable vehicle.

●        Conduct basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

●        Report vehicle issues, incidents, delays, or safety concerns immediately.

●        Maintain professional communication with clients, families, staff, and dispatch.

●        Follow all company policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures.

●        Protect client privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.

●        Provide respectful and compassionate service to all passengers.

Requirements

●        Valid Massachusetts driver’s license.

●        Valid 7D certificate or ability to obtain one.

●        Clean driving record.

●        Must pass background check requirements.

●        Must pass CORI/SORI checks, if applicable.

●        Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, if required.

●        Reliable, punctual, and professional.

●        Strong communication and customer service skills.

●        Ability to work with children, seniors, individuals with disabilities, or healthcare clients.

●        Ability to follow directions, schedules, and safety procedures.

●        Must be able to sit for extended periods and assist passengers when needed.

●        Prior transportation, healthcare, school transportation, or NEMT experience is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

●        Previous experience as a 7D driver, school transportation driver, medical transportation driver, or NEMT driver.

●        CPR or First Aid certification.

●        Familiarity with local routes and communities.

●        Experience working with vulnerable populations.

Schedule
Full-time and part-time positions may be available. Schedule may vary based on transportation needs.
