Nuclear Medicine Technologist/PET/CT Technologist

A nuclear medicine technologist prepares and administers radioactive drugs to patients, then uses imaging equipment to capture pictures of the drug inside the body. They work with patients who are receiving radiation treatment or scheduled for imaging procedures.

Pay Rate: $72,800-110,240

• Rotating schedule 8-hour day
• Occasional overtime
• No weekends or call
• Location: Syracuse, NY
• Great working environment in a PET/CT and SPECT/CT outpatient department at Specialty Services Center.
• Private office with M-F rotating schedule between the hours of 6am and 5pm.

Job Summary:

• Performs all duties with hybrid imaging in a PET/CT and SPECT/CT outpatient department
• Calculates, orders, administers and records radioactive isotopes
• Instructs patients on proper exam preparations
• Verify physician orders for procedures as well as properly identifying patient.
• Performs all required quality control procedures
• Maintains compliance with continuing education requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications: CNMT or ARRT(N) and NYS DOH (Nuclear Medicine) License, current CPR certification. NO PET experience necessary, will train.
• Preferred Qualifications: NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT).
