Attraction Mechanic Location: Orlando, FL The Attraction Mechanic is responsible for maintaining parks and attractions, performing both preventative and corrective maintenance on ride and show mechanical assets. The position includes responding to trouble tickets, conducting daily checks, startup or shutdown sequencing of rides, and working in a theme‑park environment that may involve elevated platforms and confined spaces. Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of ride and show mechanical assets or equipment. Respond promptly to trouble tickets at a park or attraction. Perform daily checks, startup or shutdown sequencing of a ride. Handle cleaning chemicals and supplies as required. Use required personal protective equipment such as face shields, goggles, and refillable hand sanitizers. Basic Qualifications Valid Florida Driver’s License. Experience with millwright mechanical work. Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a qualified maintenance mechanic. Practical experience in repair, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Experience working on gearbox assemblies, bearing replacement, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, restraint systems, brake and wheel assemblies. Ability to interpret schematics and prints; use blueprints to verify dimensions, materials, components, and specifications. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices. Preferred Qualifications Experience troubleshooting ride and show mechanical elements. Schedule Availability Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Schedules and start times are subject to vary. Pay Rate $29.59 per hour.
