Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Duration: 19 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1-2 years of Ambulatory Clinic experience preferred License: Valid RN License required Certifications: BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC) preferred Must-Have: - Experience with adults and pediatrics - Charting system experience - Required skills in various medical procedures Description: Under general supervision of the Nurse Supervisor and Administrative Director, the Clinical Nurse II performs established nursing procedures. The role involves caring for adult and pediatric patients. The nurse collaborates with the medical director and physician staff. Responsibilities include medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and patient education. The Clinical Nurse will also support patient diagnoses and assist in special procedures as required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate skills in patient assessment and various nursing techniques. Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team is essential. Understanding of infection control and safety practices is crucial in this role. Additional responsibilities may include scheduling appointments and charting patient information. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective patient interaction. The position requires flexibility to float to different departments as needed.
