Position Overview

This role features a dynamic balance of 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient care. You will evaluate adult patients and work closely with infectious disease pharmacists and microbiologists to identify pathogens and create comprehensive, evidence-based treatment strategies. In the hospital environment, you will collaborate with attending physicians on acute care management and coordinate discharge plans with care management teams, especially for patients needing long-term IV antibiotics.

In the outpatient clinic, your responsibilities will include following up with patients after discharge, managing ongoing IV antibiotic treatments, and addressing a variety of infectious diseases, including active tuberculosis. Strong communication abilities and meticulous documentation in the electronic health record are crucial as you contribute to continuity of care and enhance patient outcomes.
