This position follows a hybrid schedule with 2-3 in-office days per week. Our office is located at 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, 55344. This position is full time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment. Primary Responsibilities: Perform bank account reconciliation and analysis. Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports. Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close. Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits. Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues, providing explanations and interpretation. Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position. Assist with or lead the month-end/quarter-end close process for assigned businesses or groups. Demonstrate the drive and motivation to deliver high quality results based on thorough analysis. Develop innovative approaches for continued improvement in efficiency and effectiveness. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Must be 18 years of age or older Attention to detail Problem Solving abilities Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel as well as proficiency in other Office applications Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statements Flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Telecommuting Requirements: Reside within commutable distance to the office at 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, 55344 Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
