About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Team and lead the Finance Department. The ideal candidate will be an innovative and fiscally responsible public finance professional with a strong background in budget, accounting, short and long-range forecasting, and bond financing. The CFO will be responsible for maximizing revenue utilization and identifying revenue enhancement opportunities. This is a key leadership role in a fiscally healthy organization with an aggressive Capital Improvement Plan, and the successful candidate will play a critical part in the financial management and strategic planning of the company. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in managing governmental finance, budget, accounting, and treasury operations. A Master’s degree and/or CPA certification is desirable. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in a supervisory and management capacity, including at least 3 years' in a responsible leadership role. The CFO will be expected to work closely with the Executive Team, and the ability to obtain a class C California driver’s license is also a requirement.
