Job Position: Mold Design Engineer

Pay Rate: $26/hr $28/hr

Job Overview
Responsible for mold design, mold drawings, modifications, trial support, container design, bottle inspection, and technical communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Create preform designs, mold assembly drawings, and mold part drawings using 2D/3D CAD.
• Prepare mold modification drawings and revision records.
• Read customer drawings/models/samples and create 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Evaluate mold design feasibility, cavitation, and cycle time.
• Plan and support pilot and production mold trials.
• Maintain mold drawings, specifications, BOMs, and related data.
• Conduct dimensional, wall thickness, drop, and top load/compression testing of sample containers.
• Communicate with sales, factories, subsidiaries, customers, and HQ.
• Operate a 3D scanner for design evaluation and CAD modeling support.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5+ years of related experience/training with mold design experience.
• Experience/knowledge of mold design.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
