The Part-Time Cocktail Server is responsible for delivering courteous, efficient, and professional beverage service to guests in accordance with Hilton brand standards. This role supports the Food & Beverage department by ensuring a high-quality guest experience while adhering to all safety, compliance, and operational procedures.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide prompt, friendly service; present menus; offer recommendations; maintain Hilton service standards.
• Accurately take and enter orders into the POS system; ensure timely delivery of beverages and food items.
• Serve cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty beverages following established recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Verify guest identification; follow state/local alcohol laws and Hilton safety and sanitation policies.
• Process payments accurately; maintain cash control; reconcile transactions at shift end.
• Keep service stations, tables, and assigned areas clean and organized.
• Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings, specials, and promotions.
• Work with bartenders, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card or in the process of being certified
• Hold a valid TABC license
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.
• Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.

Physical Demands

• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
• Lifting Fifty (30) pounds maximum.
• Constant standing & walking required.
• Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
• Fast-paced hotel bar, lounge, pool, or restaurant setting
• Frequent guest interaction
• Part-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Hours may vary based on business levels and departmental needs
