About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Assistant 2 Year Old Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Woodstock, VA. In this role, you will work alongside the lead teacher to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of our two-year-old students.
What You'll Do- Assist in implementing age-appropriate daily activities, crafts, and lessons tailored for toddlers.
- Supervise children closely during classroom learning, outdoor play, and meal times to ensure safety.
- Support children with potty training, diaper changes, and developing personal hygiene habits.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment in compliance with health standards.
- Observe and document children's progress, communicating positive milestones and updates to parents.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working with toddlers or young children in a licensed childcare facility or preschool setting.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, sit on the floor, and remain active throughout the workday.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or a willingness to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting required by Virginia state licensing.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or coursework in Early Childhood Education.
- Familiarity with Virginia childcare licensing regulations and standards.
- Experience working specifically with the two-year-old milestone curriculum.
