Reporting to the Plant Director, the Senior Operations Manager will oversee all production activities and results for a 110,000 square foot facility operating three shifts, seven days a week, with 150 full-time employees, $160 million in gross sales, and $60 million in materials used annually.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing daily planning, organization, quality, and production processes, ensuring material, equipment, and labor resources are available.
• Ensuring products are manufactured correctly, cost-effectively, and on time, meeting specifications and quality requirements.
• Driving sustainable and continuous improvement of KPI performance while building a world class team.
• Ensuring results are being driven through a 4-step process that includes huddles, SIC meetings, Red Zone and action related daily meetings that will be driven by the Senior Operations Manager.
• Coaching and providing feedback to managers, supervisors, and team members on production practices.
• Designing and implementing plans for efficient use of materials and labor to meet manufacturing targets.
• Overseeing hiring, orientation, and training of technical production employees to maintain a competent and motivated workforce.
• Championing Safety Culture; ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Addressing and providing corrective actions in alignment with Human Resources.
• Coordinating with department heads (QA, Shipping) to ensure top-quality finished products.
• Regulating work shifts to ensure proper workload distribution.
• Coordinating with Maintenance Manager for scheduled preventative maintenance of production equipment.
• Identifying and addressing mechanical and procedural limitations affecting efficiency.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 10 years of career progression within food manufacturing.
• Minimum 7 years of management level experience within food manufacturing.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources to create performance-based training solutions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, FDA, and other food safety guidelines.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

What we prefer:

• Food manufacturing experience with a high emphasis on baked, frozen goods.
• Knowledge and experience with the Baldrige Manufacturing Excellence model.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
