Senior Accounting Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager based in United States.

This is a high-impact finance leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional ready to build and strengthen the infrastructure behind a rapidly scaling business. You will own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close while driving technical accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. The role offers significant exposure to complex transactions, international expansion, new products, and M&A activity. You will work closely with Legal, Product, Business Development, and executive stakeholders to bring accounting expertise into strategic decisions early. The environment is fast-paced, high-volume, and highly analytical, requiring both precision and practical judgment. Accountabilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process end to end, including general ledger operations, journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and timely reporting under US GAAP.
• Lead technical accounting research and documentation across complex areas such as revenue recognition, business combinations, and internal-use software, preparing clear accounting memos and communicating conclusions to executives and non-finance stakeholders.
• Lead financial reporting activities, support external audits, and establish and strengthen the internal controls framework as the organization scales.
• Manage intercompany accounting and consolidated financial statements across domestic and international entities.
• Evaluate, implement, and improve accounting systems, ERP tools, automation, and processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and reporting speed.
• Partner with Legal, Product, Business Development, and other cross-functional teams on new products, product launches, monetization changes, international expansion, and M&A initiatives, advising on accounting implications from the outset.
• Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies for crypto-native and digital-asset-related activities, applying sound technical judgment to emerging and complex areas.
• Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Controller and broader business, balancing rigorous financial reporting requirements with the speed and demands of a high-growth environment.
• Build processes and controls from the ground up where needed, identifying accounting risks early and establishing scalable solutions that support continued growth.

Requirements

• Active CPA license is required .
• 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct exposure to both high-growth private companies and public-company environments.
• 3+ years of Big Four public accounting experience is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and demonstrated ability to research complex accounting issues, prepare technical accounting memos, and communicate conclusions clearly to non-accounting audiences.
• Proven experience leading close processes in high-transaction-volume environments while consistently meeting deadlines without compromising accuracy.
• Strong financial modeling and Excel skills, with the ability to independently build, manage, and interpret sophisticated models.
• Familiarity with modern finance and accounting technology, including tools such as Ramp, Brex, or contemporary ERP platforms, along with the ability to quickly learn and adopt new systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accountability.
• Experience working cross-functionally and providing practical accounting guidance on business initiatives, products, transactions, and strategic decisions.
• Direct experience with crypto accounting or digital asset platforms is a plus.
• SQL experience or a willingness to learn SQL is a plus.
• Experience with international accounting, multi-entity consolidations, or M&A transactions is a plus.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where accounting processes and infrastructure are continuously being built and improved.
