Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor & Delivery unit is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and Post-Partum settings.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cervical exams, monitor antepartum and laboring patients, administer amnio infusions, and manage epidurals.
• Monitor fetal health, initiate IVs, administer Pitocin, and circulate C-sections.
• Perform baby catching/receiving, APGAR scoring, and provide breastfeeding support.
• Oversee post-partum care from transition to discharge.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery; exposure to post-partum care preferred.
• Certifications required: BLS, NRP, fetal monitoring.
• Strong skills in cervical exams, antepartum and labor management, epidurals, and fetal monitoring.
• Ability to circulate C-sections and provide comprehensive post-partum care.
• Experience with electronic medical records; Epic system strongly preferred.
