Job Title: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract opportunity at a large academic medical center. Candidates must have strong recent Med/Surg and Telemetry experience and be comfortable working with a diverse adult patient population in a high-acuity environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience required
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent staff experience in the specialty required
• Previous travel experience accepted toward specialty experience requirements
• Active Ohio RN License or Compact State License required at time of submission
• BLS (AHA or equivalent) required
• ACLS required
• NIHSS required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the EMR.
• Maintain compliance with patient safety and quality standards.
