Use your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to make a meaningful difference with K-5 students in a dynamic educational environment near Madison, TN. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to support young learners by creating tailored lesson plans and fostering inclusive classroom experiences.
Role Highlights:
- Contract position spanning from August 10, 2026, to May 27, 2027
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday
- Work exclusively with elementary-aged students (Kindergarten through 5th grade)
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Adapt instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support specialists to ensure student success
- Effectively manage a varied caseload
Required Qualifications:
- Current 461 TN SPED License is mandatory
- Prior experience teaching or working within a special education setting is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Deep commitment to student advocacy and inclusive education
