Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

Location: Sierra Vista, AZ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night Shift: 19:00 - 07:00, with occasional weekend hours required.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care in a Med/Surg unit, attending to both geriatric and adult patients, and occasional pediatric cases (not assigned to traveler). The unit is equipped to handle various medical needs, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EHR (Cerner).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must possess a valid RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required; PALS preferred for core staff.
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience is required, with 1 year of travel experience preferred.
• Experience in telemetry is preferred.
