Superintendent - Newark Air Train

Overview Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture is seeking a Superintendent for the Newark Air Train project at Newark International Airport in Newark, NJ. Responsibilities Supervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions including scheduling and subcontractor coordination. Ensure compliance of crafts and subcontractors with contract documents, efficient use of materials and equipment, and timely performance of the project schedule. Provide technical assistance – interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, as required. Assist project management in developing project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc. Support Site Specific Safety Plan. Coordinate with on-site Owner employees. Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction. Qualifications 20 years of supervisory field experience with large heavy civil infrastructure construction projects valued at $200M+. Minimum 10 years experience as a construction superintendent and/or craft supervision in new building and/or structure construction including piles, concrete, and structural steel. Knowledge, skills, and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards. Experience with City, State, and Federal Government clients preferred. Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, and HCSS Heavy Bid. OSHA certification, First Aid certificates. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
