Procurement Services Coordinator

Overview Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) seeks a self‑starting individual with a strong background in procurement services, contract development, and purchasing to serve as Procurement Services Coordinator. Responsibilities Plan, organize, coordinate, and participate in procurement of services, supplies, equipment, and operating systems. Assist in development and implementation of purchasing and contract policies and procedures. Qualifications Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local statutes, regulations, and codes pertaining to public purchasing and contracting; policies, rules, and regulations applicable to purchasing and contracting. Principles and practices of contract law, purchasing techniques, and specification writing. Concepts and techniques for utilizing current and new technology in procurement. Proficiency with procurement software platforms and related systems for sourcing, vendor management, contract management, and purchase order processing. Fundamental concepts of employment laws, EEO, FLSA, FMLA, Cal/OSHA, and applicable collective bargaining agreements. Competencies: analyzing data, critical thinking, decision making, industry monitoring, regulatory navigation, technical expertise, technology use, communication, negotiation, relationship building, performance management, teamwork, project management, cultural proficiency. Education and Experience Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree with at least 24 semester or 36 quarter units in business administration, contract administration, contract law, public finance, or a closely related field. Three years of experience in contract development, contract administration, and purchasing for a wide variety of services and/or materials in a public agency, including at least one year of lead or supervisory experience. Additional Requirements Valid California driver’s license and availability of private transportation (or ability to provide transportation between job sites). Hybrid remote schedules may be available. Benefits Salary: $115,428 to $142,992 annually. Health, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
