Location 62 Summer St.,Boston, MA, 02110,United States Employee Type Full Time Regular Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) is seeking a Development Assistant to provide critical support to CLF’scomprehensivedevelopmentprogram.TheDevelopmentAssistantisanintegralmemberofthe development team, working collaboratively with staff across major gifts, individual giving, research, foundation relations and events staff. The Development Assistant reports to the Senior Director of Development Operations. This is a full-time non-exempt position based in Boston, MA with some opportunity for remote work. Whatyou’ll do The Development Assistantwillbeakeyplayerinhelpingusachieveourmission.You will: Recordallgiftsin the Raiser’sEdgedatabaseinanaccurateandtimelymanner and communicate gifts received to key internal stakeholders; Print, assemble, and mail acknowledgment letters, including tracking the status of hand-signed letters to ensure timely review, signature, and mailing; Maintain accuracy and consistency in donor data and gift records, including updating biographical information in the database and assisting with other data entry and database clean-up projects; Provide outstanding customer service in response to phone and email inquiries received by the development office; support staff and donors as they interact with the department; prepare donor communications as needed; Maintain a logofchecksreceivedandcollaboratewithmembersofthefinancedepartment on check processing and gift entry; Coordinate in-house production and mailing of solicitation letters and other materials; Serve as a liaison between the development department and staff in other states on administrative and development-related matters; Support the development team with administrative tasks and special projects, including scheduling team meetings and planning team retreats; Performotherdutiesas needed. Whatyou’ll need Excellentinterpersonalskills,includingthe ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; Experience and a high degree of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with fundraising and communications databases is a plus, but not required; Ability to take initiative, solve problems, assess priorities, and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment; Enthusiasm for environmental issues and/or a background in environmental studies or advocacy is a plus; Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The starting salary range for the position is $56,000 - $60,500. Placement within the salary range will be determined by relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with significant consideration given to internal pay equity.
