Sales Account Executive (Laboratory Testing) – Eurofins Built Environment Testing East – New England Full-time Compensation: USD 70,000 - USD 70,000 per year Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries, ensuring products are safe, authentic, and accurately labeled. The Sales Account Executive is a client‑facing outside sales role operating within an assigned region of the New England states. You will identify and manage client accounts and business opportunities for the Built Environment Testing Division, which offers Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) testing for mold, asbestos, Legionella, and more. Responsibilities include cold calling, cultivating relationships, and traveling throughout the territory (≈50% travel) to meet clients. As part of the sales team, you will focus on: Maximizing market share, profitability, competitive advantage, and capacity utilization in the environmental analytical services market. Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with Eurofins clients. Representing Eurofins, clearly communicating services to new customers and markets. Identifying opportunities and profitable work by following up on leads, negotiating, and closing. Acting as a customer advocate, communicating needs to internal teams and ensuring customer satisfaction. Account Executive responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Meet individual revenue and regional sales goals. Maintain productive relationships between clients and laboratory. Promote Eurofins Environment Testing capabilities to increase selling opportunities. Develop and submit sales plans and forecasts for the assigned region. Review credit status before submitting bids or proposals. Monitor accounts receivable and resolve collection issues. Recommend pricing strategies and bid decisions; establish Master Service Agreements. Develop client profiles and evaluate funding potential. Qualify, track, and close leads to increase revenue. Report sales activity and update customer databases. Execute account plans detailing specific clients, revenue goals, and objectives. Identify key target markets and major accounts; develop strategies for market position and profitability. Coordinate and negotiate Master Service Agreements with customers. Collect and document pricing information to meet win/loss and profitability targets. Communicate customer needs to Eurofins Environment Testing Service Managers and Project Managers. Complete summaries of sales development activities as directed by the GM. Enter all business opportunity data (bids, quotes, proposals) into the Eurofins database. Follow up on outstanding opportunities to complete the sales cycle. Negotiate pricing and contractual issues with GM approval. Present Eurofins as a network of laboratories to improve operational efficiencies. Control selling expenses per company policy with GM approval. Act as “sponsor” for National Accounts as needed. Provide market feedback to facilitate new product and service development. Maintain relationships with Eurofins network facilities for awareness of operational issues. Report on win/lose ratios and future pricing strategies. Provide forecasting information to support operational planning. Assist in developing sales materials. Gather and communicate competitor intelligence. Identify opportunities for new products and services. Basic Minimum Qualifications: Degree in sciences or related field preferred but not required. Minimum 2–3 years progressively successful sales experience in a service industry. Willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory (≈50% travel; some overnight travel may be required). Knowledge of the environmental industry. Valid driver’s license. The ideal candidate would possess: Sales skills in prospect identification, interviewing, negotiating, and closing. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Lab experience and exposure to the environmental industry preferred. Experience writing sales and account plans. Familiarity with lab functions and terminology. Analytical skills. Self‑directed and able to work in an unstructured environment. Requirements: Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship. Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, speak). This position is full‑time, Monday–Friday. Candidates residing in New England are encouraged to apply. Salary Range: minimum $70,000 per year base + commission, benefits, PTO, and company‑matching 401(k). Salary may be higher for candidates with specific environmental testing sales experience, especially IAQ.
