Position Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for machine setup, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of production and packaging equipment. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs during production.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Prepare and set up machinery for production runs.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Perform PLC troubleshooting (electro role preferred).
- Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
- Certification preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- PLC knowledge and troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments.
- Able to climb ladders/stairs.
- Able to work in tight or awkward spaces.
