Lead Medical Assistant - Cardiology

Medical Assistant (MA) IV The Medical Assistant (MA) IV works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA IV is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I, MA II, and MA III roles. Additionally, the MA IV serves in a leader role or is highly skilled and trained in multiple complex specialty areas and oversees ambassadors, change agents, quality champions, and preceptors within the clinic. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands‑on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants. Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program. Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces. Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. Three years of medical assisting experience in a clinic setting. Three years of experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast‑paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion. Six months working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last three years, or 18 months experience in a Lead MA role in a clinical setting (in lieu of). Preferred Qualifications Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification.
