Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an LDRP setting supporting vaginal and cesarean deliveries, postpartum care, and Level II nursery newborn care
• Monitor and assess laboring patients using the Obix EFM system with Philips fetal monitors, adhering to AWHONN staffing guidelines (1:1 labor, 1:3 couplet)
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including a 24/7 in-house neonatology provider, OB techs, and unit secretaries
• Assist with CPAP management in the Level II nursery in coordination with respiratory therapy for setup
• Rotate every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday nights) and work every other designated holiday
• Float hospital-wide as needed to support tasking and team nursing model

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Demonstrated experience and skill in Labor and Delivery nursing
• Ability to pass a drug screen; must comply with a Drug-Free Campus policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency across all LDRP areas including triage, postpartum, and Level II nursery
• Familiarity with Obix EFM and Philips fetal monitoring systems
