RN/LPN Private Duty Nurse (Adult Home Care)

Seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled one-on-one nursing care for a 79-year-old male in the Southeastern Ocala area. Benefits available for Full-Time hours!

Patient Diagnoses:

• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Atrial Fibrillation (Afib)
• Diabetes
• Bilateral Below-Knee Amputations (BKA)
• Dementia

Schedule:

• 8-hour and 16-hour shifts
• 4 days per week
• Weekend availability required

Responsibilities:

• Medication administration and management
• Ongoing patient assessment and monitoring
• Skilled nursing care in the home setting
• Documentation of patient status and care provided
• Implementation of physician orders and plan of care
• Communication with the care team regarding patient needs and changes in condition
• Provide one-on-one nursing care in the patient's home
• Implement and evaluate individualized care plans
• Use sound clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation
• Perform nursing skills and procedures within the scope of practice
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
• Follow all state and federal regulations related to home care nursing

Required:

• Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in the state of practice (or compact license, where applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Reliable transportation and auto insurance
• Ability to pass background screening
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills

Preferred:

• 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience
• Previous home health, private duty, or long-term care experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, reach, push, pull, and twist as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Visual and hearing acuity necessary to perform nursing duties safely
