Founding GTM Recruiter

About the Role

This is a rare, ground-floor opportunity to join a well-funded, early-stage AI SaaS company and own recruiting as its first dedicated GTM recruiter. You'll work directly with the founding team to build one of the most talent-dense teams in New York City — shaping hiring strategy, candidate experience, and the recruiting engine from day one.

The right person is genuinely passionate about recruiting as a craft: mastering sourcing, closing, and candidate experience while learning how recruiting intersects with strategy, operations, and culture. No visa sponsorship is available. This role requires full-time, on-site presence in New York City.

What You'll Do

• Partner directly with founders and senior leadership to identify hiring priorities and align recruiting with company strategy.

• Own critical searches end-to-end — from intake through offer close — for technical and product roles including engineers, product managers, and designers.

• Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of top startup talent through creative, multi-channel sourcing strategies: outbound research, networks, events, and communities.

• Develop a strong understanding of candidate motivations and startup dynamics to attract and close the right people.

• Deliver a high-touch candidate experience from first outreach through offer acceptance.

• Design and implement repeatable recruiting processes and build the foundation for a world-class recruiting function.

What We're Looking For

Hard Requirements

• 2–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience with end-to-end ownership of searches.

• Proven track record recruiting for technical and product roles (engineers, product managers, designers) at early-stage startups.

• Prior agency experience or direct in-house startup recruiting/sourcing experience.

• Demonstrated ability to close candidates and manage offer negotiations to successful hire.

• Experience executing creative sourcing strategies across multiple channels (outbound research, professional networks, events, communities).

• Experience partnering directly with founders or senior leadership on hiring priorities.

• Strong ability to articulate and sell startup opportunity, culture, and mission to prospective candidates.

• Highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

• Able and willing to work on-site in New York City.

Nice to Have

• Experience at or recruiting for B2B SaaS or AI-driven companies.

• Strong existing network within the NYC startup ecosystem.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York City, NY . Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available. Visa sponsorship is not available.
