SOLDERING TECHNICIAN

$22-25/hr. 1st Shift AVAILABLE - Poway, CA

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Soldering Technician with 3+ years of experience in PCB assembly rework and repair. The role involves soldering, component replacement, inspection, and troubleshooting of SMT and through-hole PCBAs used in power electronics products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform hand soldering, rework, repair, and touch-up on SMT and through-hole PCBAs.
• Remove and replace electronic components using soldering irons, hot air tools, and microscopes.
• Diagnose and repair PCB defects, including shorts, opens, damaged pads, and lifted traces.
• Inspect finished work for quality, polarity, orientation, and IPC standards compliance.
• Follow work instructions, drawings, BOMs, and quality requirements.
• Maintain ESD-safe practices and document repair activities.
• Support troubleshooting and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of soldering and PCB repair experience.
• Strong SMT soldering and rework skills.
• Experience with microscopes, magnifiers, and rework equipment.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and ESD handling.
• Ability to troubleshoot PCB assembly defects and work independently.

Work Schedule:

1st Shift with flexible start times between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
