Mechanical Technician (Level 1)

Mechanical Field TechnicianWe are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Field Technician to join our team in Niagara Falls, NY. This role involves providing hands-on technical support at a single customer location, with no travel required. Niagara Falls, known for its stunning natural beauty and vibrant community, offers a unique and inspiring environment to work in.ResponsibilitiesPerform on-site repairs, maintenance, and general service tasks using basic hand tools.Conduct product demonstrations of basic mechanical equipment.Provide maintenance support and training to in-house maintenance staff when necessary.Offer technical guidance and expertise as applicable.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School degree preferred; an Associate degree in a technology field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, electronics) is advantageous.Broad knowledge of mechanical hand tools and principles.Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to use iPads for completing work orders, sending/receiving emails, and attending team calls.Capability to present technical concepts to non-technical individuals.Understanding of technical diagrams and manuals.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal direction.Adaptability to change and tight deadlines.Must work independently with little supervision.Good customer service and organizational skills are necessary.Ability to reason, communicate, make cognitive decisions, understand deadlines and timelines, and provide accurate results.Flexibility to work extended hours during the workweek and have availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., carrying and lifting tools and parts weighing up to 20 lbs.Must be able to bend, squat, walk, stand, and/or sit for prolonged periods and carry 50 lbs.May be required to push and pull a cart with equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.ScheduleMust have flexibility to work extended hours during the workweek and be available for weekends and holidays on an as-needed basis.Additional InformationCompany tools will be provided. Candidates should have protective footwear (boots required; steel toe recommended but not required) and gloves.
