Our client develops, manufactures, markets, distributes, and sells orthopedic implant devices, related surgical instrumentation, and biologic services. Many of the roles are temp to hire with our client. All of their buildings are air-conditioned and a comfortable work environment.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Associate to join an industrial maintenance and shop operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career candidate who is interested in developing hands-on technical skills and building a long-term career in the oilfield and industrial services industry.
Job Description
- Support daily maintenance activities in accordance with established maintenance programs and operational requirements.
- Assist with maintenance and shop operations to help ensure equipment is serviced and available when needed.
- Under the direct supervision of a Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Technician, perform assigned maintenance activities as skills and qualifications develop.
- Follow established safety procedures, maintenance instructions, work instructions, and operational standards.
- Work through a structured mentoring and training program until qualified to independently perform assigned duties.
- Participate in company-provided technical training, certifications, and skills-development programs.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, work performed, and related information in applicable business systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and demonstrate strong attention to transactional and documentation requirements.
- Follow established maintenance, equipment, and operational standards.
- Build and maintain technical competency through ongoing training and demonstrated performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve maintenance efficiency, equipment availability, productivity, and overall operational performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Demonstrate consistent attendance, reliability, and adherence to safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support maintenance and shop operations.
- Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Skills Required
- 1–3 years of work experience.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance record.
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills, processes, tools, and equipment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Stable employment history.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a physically demanding industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, manufacturing, maintenance, oilfield, construction, or industrial environment.
- Forklift experience or certification.
- Crane operation experience.
- General knowledge of industrial tools, equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience working with tools and equipment.
- Previous experience working in an environment where safety, quality, and productivity are critical.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Pay Rate
- $17 - $18 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
