Cafeteria Worker (Substitute)Terms of Employment: 3 to 4 hours per day (during student attendance days, if needed) Salary: $17.00 hourly Benefits: Not eligible Education/Certification/License: Illinois Food Service Sanitation License (preferred) Obtain a valid Illinois Food Service Sanitation License within 30 days of hire High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Responsibilities: Arrange and serve pre-packaged food items according to established procedures and portion control standards Set out milk cartons for lunch on chilled areas Assure proper temperature of foods and record according to schedule Label and date open food products to ensure proper storage and rotation of food and leftovers Track food for daily production logs Maintain and report low supply of condiments, food items and paper goods to the Food Service Manager Follow established health, safety and sanitation principles applicable to food serving and kitchen maintenance Maintain food serving area, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition - maintain log Able to lift and move milk crates (up to 25lb) Other duties as assigned Application Procedure: External candidates should complete the on-line application Internal candidates should complete the internal application Selection Procedure: Qualified candidates will contacted by the appropriate building administrator
