Primary Care Physician – Dayton VA Medical Center

Location: Dayton, OH

Position: Primary Care Physician
Pay Rate: $165.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Assignment Type: Full-Time Contract
Duration: Base year with possible 1-year option extension
Period of Performance: August 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027, with possible option year
Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

Position Overview

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Primary Care Physician to provide primary care services at the Dayton VA Medical Center PACT Clinics . This position supports the Dayton VA’s Primary Care Services department as the facility prepares for implementation of the Electronic Health Record Modernization system.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Board Certified or Board Eligible primary care services at Dayton VAMC PACT Clinics.
• Manage an assigned patient panel.
• See approximately 9 patients per day, with a maximum of 12 patients per day.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat primary care patients.

Required Qualifications

• Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in one of the following:
  • Internal Medicine through ABIM
  • Family Practice through ABFM
• Minimum of 3 years of full-time comprehensive primary care experience .
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association .
• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association .
