Travel: 0 25% Domestic Job Summary

We are looking for a Controls Engineer 2 to support system-level validation for a Modular Power Conversion System (MPCS). The role focuses on validation planning, software and controls testing, HIL testing, troubleshooting, and supporting new product introduction (NPI) activities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain system validation plans aligned with project milestones.
Define validation scope, test strategies, and acceptance criteria.
Coordinate laboratory, HIL, endurance, integration, and field validation activities.
Validate software releases, firmware updates, network communications, HMI functionality, and control algorithms.
Support system integration, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigations.
Track validation progress and ensure testing is completed on schedule.
Collaborate with software, controls, electrical, telematics, cybersecurity, quality, and product support teams.
Communicate validation status, risks, issues, and recommendations.
Support NPI and sustaining engineering projects.
Help drive issue resolution and successful product releases.

Required Qualifications

2 4 years of engineering experience.
Bachelor's degree in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Systems Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Related technical discipline
Internships may be considered as relevant experience.
Electrical engineering background.
Experience with Vector CANape and CANalyzer .
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink .
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

HIL testing experience.
System integration and validation experience.
Experience with controls, communications, HMI, or power systems.
Project planning and prioritization.
Clear technical communication.
Experience working in an NPI environment.
Continuous improvement mindset.
