Students learn website production, as well as Search Engine Optimization as it applies to design assets. Technology requirement: Students provide their own laptop, mouse, and subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud. What You Will Do Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions while incorporating innovative teaching strategies. Engage students in cutting-edge technologies and industry trends. Assess student performance and mentor classroom success to prepare them for their chosen career path. Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University. What You Will Bring Minimum: Bachelors degree in web design, UX/UI design, graphic design, or other related discipline Preferred: Masters Degree in web design, UX/UI design, graphic design, or other related discipline Skills in the following are required: User Experience, User Interface Design and an understanding of designing for and working with Content Management Systems such as Wordpress. The design thinking process and industry knowledge of principles of design, typography, color, brand development, and current trends are expected. Skills in the Following programs are required: Adobe Experience Design, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator. Job titles that fit the criteria: Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, Web Designer. Technical Requirements: GCU does not provide software or hardware outside of the campus classrooms. Candidates are expected to be able to teach on the most current version of the Adobe software products. A portfolio of current work examples is required with the application to teach.
